Werkstätten Hagenauer

The month of May ist dedicated to the Viennese Werkstätten Hagenauer. Parts of the functional furniture and the flexible lighting fixtures were formerly in possession of Franz Hagenauer (Vienna 1902 - 1986 Vienna) who entered the family business in 1926 and devoted himself to scupturing. His brother Karl (1898-1956) continued to run the company since 1928 and expanded the workshops by a carpenter's workshop. Together with Julius Jirasek (1896-1966) the objects in simple design and functional style became pioneers of New Objectivity. In addition to the furniture we present figures and objects of daily use perfect also for this glass cabinet.
