ART SALZBURG 2010
How well the Viennese modernism in the baroque setting their priority claims can be seen this summer at the booth of Patrick Kovacs in the gallery of the residence. Already over 100 years ago recognized the established bronze goods manufacturer Bergmann the potential of the young architect Carl Witzmann (1883-1952), he left the establishment of his country villa. It is the unusual dining room ensemble, to the side of the table and chairs and the specially designed piano was saved from the original site. Selected equipment items of the great architect Otto Wagner (1841-1918) demonstrated its importance as interior designers: these include the Bank of the light rail stations before 1900 as the first modern chair for the Austrian Postal Savings Bank. Hagenauer collectors will cheer when the small, delicate objects, which are known from the sale catalog of 1928, discovered in Natura at Patrick Kovacs - is to choose between the ash-killer, mirrors and fish platter.
